In my first year of university we had a chance to go to a workshop with a character designer Dan Kelby where we could pick from a hobby or everyday objects. I decided on using stuffed toys and I had a lot of small ones on a shelf and use characteristics from them like the patchwork, ear tag and the star bag as one of them have a star on them. As these stuffed toys didnt really have clothes I asked my friend to send me one of her simpler lolita outfits so I could use it. I then decided to use what I had drawn in the workshop and modify it into looking like my friend to make into a print for her birthday.
